Shipping Manager

We are seeking an experienced Shipping Manager to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of our coral and livestock shipping department. In this role, you will manage a team of shipping associates, ensuring that all corals and other saltwater livestock are carefully picked, packed, and shipped to both consumers and business clients. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire shipping process, including logistics coordination with carriers like UPS and FedEx, ensuring timely and safe overnight deliveries. Your strong organizational and leadership skills will be critical to maintaining an efficient workflow while adhering to the best practices for shipping live marine species.

The ideal candidate will have prior management experience in logistics, shipping, or warehouse environments, as well as knowledge of saltwater aquariums and corals. You will be responsible for training and supervising the shipping team, ensuring they handle livestock with care, maintain accurate labeling, and meet deadlines. You’ll also be tasked with monitoring inventory levels, tracking shipments, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise during transit. Experience with shipping software, including UPS and FedEx platforms, is highly preferred.

As the Shipping Manager, you must be able to effectively manage both the physical and logistical demands of the job, including overseeing packages that weigh up to 30 pounds. You will implement and improve shipping processes to optimize efficiency and minimize risk to the livestock.
